I'm Mark Earwood, a Certified Pastoral Counselor dedicated to waking individuals, couples and families through life's challenges using the hope and wisdom found in Scripture. I provide Christ-centered counseling rooted in biblical truth, prayer and compassionate listening.
I hold a Certification in Temperament Therapy through the National Christian Counselors Association and Doctorate in Clinical Christian Counseling from the Chesepeake Bible College and Seminary. I bring over 20 years of experience working with teens and families through K-12 Christian Education as a Head of School, Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director and Spiritual Life Director at schools in Texas, North Carolina and Wyoming. I am an ordained minister through Sarasota Bible Academy.
I've been married to my wife Laura, for over 35 years and have 3 grown sons. Life experience as well as biblical wisdom are woven together to provide advise and compassion for all clients.
While I am not a licensed mental health provider in the state of Texas, I offer non-clinical pastoral counseling focused on spiritual and emotional care from a Christian worldview.
What Sessions with Dr Mark look like
My sessions include prayer, biblical insight, compassionate dialogue, and practical tools for life application. I am also certified in Temperament counseling which utilized the Arno Profile System to help individuals understand the Temperament they were created with that can predict and determine their reactions to various life needs and situations.
- Sessions are usually 50 minutes long.
- In-person and virtual appointments are available.
- A sliding scale fee is available to make sessions affordable for those with limited resources.
